When you play with your friends for a long time 6 years and then suddenly you need to join a new team then obviously there will be some anxiety. I joined Titans team with a lot of uncertainty in mind about new players, new captain and new environment and was not expecting to get so many matches to play. But from the first practice session I started getting a feeling that I might like. With each passing match it was a new experience and I loved that. Proud to be part of team titans and it’s captain Sourav. Lot of experienced guys to learn from and lot of young ones to learn from (again) 😀 overall a great season.
I was apprehensive about the season as a lot of match winners left the team due to relocation and other reasons. I was frantically reaching out to everyone so that we will get at least 11 for the weekend game. Honestly, I was not looking for rockstars, all I was looking for was good team players. I am so glad that we got so many good players and at any given weekend there were 14 to 15 players available for a game. Best part was we didn't have a single player from our team in top 5 in stats for the year but we were on the top as a team among 39 teams. I was pleasantly surprised as I was thinking this year it will go on building phase and may get championship trophies and all in coming years. Sad part is we got knocked out in qtr finals but no regret as we got a strong team that will continue for few years. I feel content and happy. Thank God and thanks everyone for the support this year. #madness will continue. :)
I entered the team as a wicket keeper with minimal skills. But after joining the team, I have improved myself in all aspects.
As a keeper, I have developed myself to stay more focussed on the ball to not let pass me while keeping.
Next, the practice sessions did help me improve my batting skills a bit (As I have not dedicated to the batting side of my cricket game). Also let's me find my weak points in the game that requires improvement.
Any team might follow these aspects and anything, but this team has bring me feeling of home, family and the happiest part is that I was able to be back to my oldself that was way better than the current me. I will for sure develop myself to be one of the best player as others on the team.
I would like to point Allu Sudheer Reddy, for introducing me to this team. In addition, I would like to point Sourav, one of the pillars of this club for adding me in the team and bringing back the players together for Cricket.
Forever, the #Madness for cricket goes on and on and the legacy continues.....
